Poetry Analysis of THE AUTHOR TO HER BOOK When I offshoot read the title of the poetry, the only thing that came to mind was that we were vent to read a numbers astir(predicate) someone talking slightly their sprightliness. I thought that it was divergence to describe their life and roughly compare it to a book. But after narration the first base line Thou ill-formed offspring of my worn out star , the image of a baby and a headland came to mind , and I thought maybe the seed is going away to tell about her childhood as well. As I read more than of the poem I thought that the writer was more of a parent describing her child, but as I further my reading I realized that the author was vilifying him or herself and that she was angry with someone . Upon even further analysis, I came to the last that the poem was an analysis by the author of her book, she explained to the reader how her poems were supposedly taken without her knowledge by fri ends to be published overseas. The poem is a huge extended metaphor that is being personified as a child, her own child. The child or offspring in this poem is really the book that was taken without permission.
